The OKV Information hub is a shared kiosk provided free of charge to local organisations, social service providers and more who have the flexibility to work differently in our new environment to help bridge the disconnection of access to information, advice & support back to the community.
We here at the OKV have set this up as we have identified a high number of our community, who walk through and stop into our space, who are lost in the sea of info floating out there at the moment, especially in light of Covid-19. Information is so fragmented and people are unaware of what services, resources & opportunities are available to them. Covid-19 has created a number of new services, programs, contracts and changes with local govt organisations & associated benefits. People are overwhelmed, so we are hoping this will be the start of helping our community get access to the info they need easier and stress free. We are also offering this space to local clubs etc who want to do registrations for new sign ups and anyone else in our immediate community who may see a use for this space that benefits the community. We are especially interested in hearing from anyone who has any contacts or works in an area giving support and advice to local businesses.
Included in the space is a table, bar stool chair, free standing small whiteboard, wall space to hang items or for existing service materials and we are working on connecting the power soon so you can plug in your laptops or any technology you need to bring on site.
If this is something you would be interested in collaborating or participating in then please get in touch below.
